Where it all began
I’ve always been a creative person so I guess I was destined to end up doing something that would tick that box. A careers talk about Media and Comms in my second year at Uni piqued my interest and before I knew it, I was spending my summer at a Midlands-based PR agency learning how to craft awesome content to get clients in the news.
After graduating, I landed my first PR role and went on to spend five years working in award-winning PR agencies, securing millions of pounds worth of media coverage for consumer brands.
The world of ‘digital’ was booming so I moved to a digital marketing agency to launch their online PR offering and creating content for email newsletters and blogs for the likes of Frankie and Benny’s and Toby Carvery.
My next role saw me lead a Comms and Digital Team at a small national charity, before landing a role in the Comms Team for a large well-known and much-loved animal charity, Dogs Trust 🐶
Me now
I still work part-time for Dogs Trust, leading the social media team and communicating with a 2.1million strong social audience.
And now I’ve made my way into the world of freelancing, as a social media coach and content strategist, where I now work with small and medium-sized businesses to connect with their audience through content.
In between all that fun stuff, I've been growing an online community of over 100,000 home, DIY and affordable home decor enthusiasts over at @reynoldsresidence, sharing my experience of decorating my home, DIY hacks, seasonal styling tips and things I've learned along the way. I create content for large brands including the likes of The Range, B&M, Furbo and Karndean.
Through this, I also met Charlie, the creator behind @overatcharlies, and we quickly bonded over our desire to share our knowledge of social media and the industry to help creators and businesses. Within a few months we launched Maisons and Mingle, a series of events for creators and influencers and in 2023 we kick-started The Social Academy Co, where we deliver a range of training and coaching programmes for businesses and creators looking to grown their social presence with our support.
